How MedLink Global Began
While Ran Yang-Chawla was completing clinical psychology training at Columbia University, she saw a heartbreaking reality: patients stuck with incomplete diagnoses or waiting months for expert care.
After building a successful global platform connecting cancer patients with top specialists for second opinions, Ran decided to focus on psychiatry because she could make the biggest impact.

Ran’s work proved expert consultations can transform patient outcomes with better diagnoses and treatments. Inspired by this fact, she founded MedLink Global at UC Berkeley in 2022.
