The Science Behind MaiNDS™
MaiNDS™ was developed by Dr. Mark A. Blais of Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School.
It represents the cutting edge of mental health care. Its hybrid, dual-component system goes beyond surface-level symptoms to create a rich, in-depth understanding of patients’ mental health.

Component 1: The Quantitative Side
The quantitative assessment has 103 questions to cover a wide range of mental health aspects like p-factor and additional things like personality traits, and physical symptoms.
“p-factor” shows how much someone’s mental health is being affected overall, utilizing numbers to quantify factors like externalizing, internalizing, and thought impairment.
Doctors use this information to figure out how different problems might connect and breaks symptoms into smaller groups that match common conditions while including unique details about the patient.
This streamlined approach asks just enough questions to thoroughly understand the data, while not overwhelming patients with lengthy assessments.
Component 2: The Qualitative Side
MaiNDS™ listens to the patient’s story. Our AI-powered interviewer talks with patients in a way that feels open and judgment-free, letting them share their experiences in detail.
The AI collects important information about how symptoms affect their daily life, how things have changed over time, and what treatments they’ve tried before.
It also asks about family history, social situations, and other factors that could play a role in their mental health. By finding patterns in what patients share, the AI interview adds context to the numbers. This helps doctors understand the full picture and provide care that’s more personalized and effective.
